Top 5 Rock Records of the 90's

Oh, to fan the flames of overwrought controversy.

Here is the definitive list of the 5 best Rock Albums recorded in the 1990's. If you don't like it, comment and correct.

1. Weezer - Weezer (the Blue Album): Unbelievable hooks, catchy lyrics, and every song is amazing.

2. Counting Crows - August and Everything After: Beautiful from start to finish. The lyrics are cryptic and sometimes haunting.

3. Jimmy Eat World - Clarity: Though the album has a few songs that are not gems, the 14 song masterpiece is incredible. It also ends with a 14 minute tribute to A Prayer for Owen Meany (the greatest novel of the late 20th century)

4. Third Eye Blind - Third Eye Blind: Known mostly for the commercial success of Semi-Charmed life, this record is amazing from the word go. The album has the best final 5 songs of any album of the decade.

5. Ben Folds Five - Whatever and Ever Amen: The lyrics and the music on this quirky, sometimes sad jam are unbelievable.

All Apologies List: Nirvana - Nevermind, The Juliana Theory - Understand this is a Dream, Radiohead - OK Computer, Clueless - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, Blink 182 - Enema of the State.

I agree... almost...
To leave out Radiohead's OK computer must have been a hard decision.

John David's honorable mentions:
Eve 6: Eve 6
Five Iron Frenzy: Our Newest Album Ever
The Get Up Kids: Something to write home about
Green Day: Dookie
P.O.D: Fundamental Elements of Southtown
Tonic: Lemon Parade

A year late and a dollar short:
Dashboard Confessional: The places you have come to fear the most (2000)
Sunny Day Real Estate: Rising Tide (2000)

What are you 13? I think your list is a product of reading about the 90's instead of actually being a part of the 90's. By leaving Radiohead out, you lost all credibility, you might as well have listed your top 5 things about being a slave in the south.
I heart justin, but in a different and totally unique way, I'm so different, moody, brooding, and genius. Oh wait, I just love him the same way my mother loved me, abusively. I abusively love you Justin baby pussycat. Laugh, love, laugh, love... I actually want to hear the worst 5 albums of the 90's, now that might piss some people off.
Big love.

Great list.
Personally, I would swap out Counting Crows for Radiohead "The Bends" and Third Eye Blind for Smashing Pumpkins "Simease Dream."

All of the runners up are close. I think I might have a cock fight to see if Ben Folds Five or Juliana Theory "Understand..." makes it on. May the best chicken win.

3. "Standing Outside of a Broken Telephone Booth With Money in My Hand" - Primitive Radio Gods
4. "Epic" - Faith No More
5. "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" - Crash Test Dummies

Runners Up:
"Natural One" - Folk Implosion
