The latest edition of the GravesEnd Podcast is up and you can listen to it by clicking here. In this episode Tim and I discuss the place of fun in the Christian mission and the way that the church has neutered the Kingdom's call to enjoying life.
I am a native of Tampa, FL living in South Carolina. I just finished my Masters of Divinity. I am married to my college sweetheart Angie and we have the coolest son on the planet, Conner Calvin. I am an arm-chair theologian and an arm-chair quaterback, and a baseball nerd. I follow the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Rays.
This second book in Wright's The origin of Christianity and the Question of God series focuses on Jesus as a man of his time. It compares and contrast Jesus with other radicals and would be Messiahs in Palestine around the same time.
Evangelical Theology - Karl Barth
I am interested in seeing that all the fuss is about. This is Barth's sumary of his theology. Should be interesting.
John Calvin's Exegesis of the Old Testament - David Puckett
I am interested to see the way that Calvin connected the idea of Christ and the Old Testament, plus, this should make for some fun summer reading...
